Looking for something fun to make that takes little to no effort at all? Potato chips is where it’s at.

Ranging from chips, fries, mashed potatoes and breakfast potatoes, at this point potatoes are probably the best veggie.

To make potato chips you will need to gather all your items first.

You will need:

  • 7 unpeeled potatoes from your local grocery store
  • 2 quarts of ice water
  • 5 teaspoons of salt
  • 2 teaspoons of garlic powder
  • 1 or ½ teaspoon of celery salt
  • 1 or ½ teaspoon of pepper
  • cooking oil

Once you gather everything you need, you are ready to start making your potato chips.

  1. Cut your potatoes into very thin slices using whatever tools you have. Then, put the cut-up potatoes in a large bowl. After you’ve done, that dump the ice water on the potatoes. Let them soak for 30 minutes.
  2. After the thirty minutes you will need to drain the potatoes. Place the potatoes on a paper towel and pat dry. In a bowl, combine the garlic powder, celery salt and pepper.
  3. In a pan, heat half an inch of oil at 375 degrees. Fry the potatoes until golden brown, 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently
  4. Remove the potatoes with a spoon, and drain the potatoes on a paper towel. Sprinkle with seasoning mixture.

Have fun with these chips! Give them to friends, family, maybe even your pets. Get somewhat funky by adding nacho cheese or even a salsa dip.
