Every day you see your teachers face to face, but do you really know your teachers? Chances are you don’t, which is why this article will be unveiling some fun facts about your favorite teachers here at West High. 

The first teacher that was spoken to was alumni, wrestling coach, English, and AVID teacher, Mr. Bravo. The first question asked was about what goals he has for his classes. Bravo responded, “It’s that all my seniors graduate, and all my avid students pass all their classes”. The next question he was asked was about any not so well-known fact about him to which Bravo replied, “A not so well-known fact about me is that I’m really good at fantasy football”. 

The second teacher that was interviewed was the head of theatrical arts and AVID teacher Ms. Williams. The first question Ms. Williams was asked was if she was involved in any extracurriculars in high school, she responded “Yes, I was involved in Theater, Speech, our Blue Crew (her school at the time), Key Club. But I was also involved outside of school, I played water polo for the school, softball for the school, I danced outside of school and performed in plays and musicals.” 

The last teacher asked was ERWC (Expository Reading and Writing Course) teacher Mr. Hill. He was asked about any dreams that he had, to which he replied, “My first dream was to be a fighter pilot”, he goes on to also say, “a lot more traveling outside of the country.” He was also asked if he had any other careers, he then shared this, “I’ve been a youth minister, I’ve owned a small business, and then a substitute teacher for a few years.” Hill clarified that the small business he owned was a Christian book and gift store.
