West High’s FFA program is leaving the farm and taking a deep dive into the ocean. While not literally going into the ocean, our FFA team is going to go on a field trip to the Monterey Bay Aquarium on May 20th. This trip is for any students that have shown great leadership in events they have participated in. In order for students to qualify for this event, they must have participated in six FFA events in the Fall semester and four FFA events in the Spring Semester.
This trip is reserved for avid members of FFA as there will only be 60 spots available, as FFA teacher Mrs. Cabrera said, “ it will be a fun and rewarding trip for all the hard work these students have put in”. On this trip, students will have a relaxing trip exploring the vast space that is the Monterey Bay Aquarium. They will also, “learn team building and about agriculture through a different scope and to communicate with fellow FFA members for the future of the FFA at West High”, said Mrs. Cabrera.
Students will be leaving at 7 am at the bus loop and will be leaving Monterey at 4pm and returning to Tracy at 6pm. The deadline for permission slip submission is April 25th to Ms. Myers in MS-9, so if you’re an FFA student that meets these requirements, what are you waiting for? Sign up now!
