Tracy, even though it seems like a small town which does not have much to do, the downtown is blooming with different businesses. There’s everything from boutiques, restaurants, bookstores and even tattoo parlors. To spend a day downtown with family or friends for me there are 3 main events to formulate a good day; delicious food, fun entertainment, and interesting shops.

Blast from the past is one of the entertainment shops to be in. They have several types of music media that are ready to buy. They also carry several albums of different genres. Whether you are a fan of metal music or vintage soul, there is something for every type of person you’re spending your day with. From Vinyl, to Cassettes, to even CDs they have all types of audio media, so it really is a blast from the past.

Talking about things that remind us of the past, the architecture of our very own Grand theater. It was built in 1923, and it gives us a little inside look into how old downtown Tracy looked like. There are several movies that are screened in the theater. There are also live shows ranging from standup comedy, to plays, to even acrobatics. They also carry basic snacks and sodas. These can be bought before an event or during an intermission.

If snacks don’t fill you up and you are looking for some delicious food Junior’s is a perfect place. They have everything from wings to tasty pastas and even loaded up hamburgers. Their seating is perfect for hanging out with friends or a family outing. They also have TV’s that show sports from college to professional Basketball, Football, Wrestling and many more.

There is something for everyone to do at downtown Tracy. These are just a few activities that are available but there are many more things to do. Personally, if I were to spend a day in Tracy downtown, I would use shops, entertainment, and food to make up my day.
