Springfest is a new annual event that showcases various clubs, organizations, and activities. This year, Springfest is being combined with the traditional AVID egg hunt, which will have participants scavenging for eggs containing prizes. It is held on April 16 this year from 5 to 7 PM after school. Leadership students Caleb Cosme and Josephson Pacia shared more information about the clubs and activities that are expected to be at the event.
Senior Josephson Pacia encouraged students to attend Springfest by saying, “There will be a jazz assemble and songs playing during Springfest. Menchies will also be there.” Additionally, Pacia gave exciting news about the AVID egg hunt. “During the egg hunt, be on the lookout for two golden eggs! They hold two tickets for a free ASB card which gives access to all home games. You also get a gift card.” Winners of the egg hunts will enjoy entering all sports home games for free and a gift card.
Senior Caleb Cosme described the activities that will be at Springfest. He said, “There will be club and programs with different food and activities.” Cosme encouraged students to show up at the event, promising that it would be a good opportunity to support the clubs and programs at our school. Key Club, BSU, API, Christian Club, AVID, Mock Trial, and Leadership will be present at Springfest.
Like many other clubs, BSU is hosting an activity for attendees. BSU member Ava Bullock shared her excitement about Springfest by saying, “BSU is holding a cookout themed event where they’ll grill bacon wrapped hot dogs.” Springfest will have various similar activities and food available for all students.
The new annual event of Springfest is bound to provide a copious amount of fun for anyone willing to participate. With a little luck, the two golden eggs could be in your future!
