Alejandra Bastardo is a freshman and the Copy Editor for The Zephyr. She is also the former Editor-in-Chief of the Pony Express. This is her second year in journalism, but outside of her studies she has a busy life. She was born in Venezuela, having lived there for the beginning of her life, then moved and stayed in Chile for three years, before coming to the U.S.  Her travels aren’t the only unique thing about her—she also has beef with her dog. Yes, her Shih Tzu, named Melody, is her biggest opponent. Contrasting to what she isn’t too fond of in life, she also loves Marvel and DC, and her favorite character from the latter is the one and only Nightwing and the former Robin. She’s skilled in fighting, testing for her black belt in the intimidating skills of Mixed Martial Arts. All in all, I think we can all agree the Alejandra is truly one-of-a-kind.
