Sandra Castanon

Sandra Castanon, Staff Reporter

Sandra Castanon has finally set foot in her long awaited year of becoming a senior. Seriously, all that waiting just to be stuck at home all day is not what she had in mind, but she makes the best out of it. Some things about Castanon include being a singles player on the West High Tennis Team, co-leading vocals in jazz band, engaging in multiple fandoms and being 5’1”. Castanon does consider being short as part of her personality, as well as indecisive, cheerful, playful, open-minded and clumsy. Her hobbies include tennis, playing video games with her siblings, learning about history and watching movies and TV shows. She is Mexican, female and an aspiring filmmaker in a white, male-dominated industry, so that is going to be an interesting journey. With that being said, Castanon is willing to fail over and over and over again in order to pursue her passion. You can call it ambition, or you can call it stubbornness. She won’t really care.
