New library hours

Ashley Christopher, Staff Reporter

We’ve all been through one of those days. You know, the ones where you practically crawl out of bed and realize on the way out the door that you had homework. As you walk through those familiar school gates, your backpack heavy and your hair a mess, you find yourself dreading the rest of the day. You continue to sulk when suddenly before you lies your safe haven: the library.

With extended hours, the library is opening its doors every morning for those who seek a place to stay before the bell rings. Need a quiet atmosphere to study before your test first period? They’ve got you covered. Forgot to print something out? No problem! Computers are available upon your request. With winter right around the corner, mornings are getting chillier and rain poses a threat. Librarian Susan Perry believes extended hours are “a huge benefit for the students… Our hours have not changed in seven years.” So stop in the library to warm up, stay dry and maybe even discover a new book.

Library hours are 7:20 to 12:50 on Monday, and 7:20 to 3:20 Tuesday through Friday. Be sure to have your ID visible!
