Football training has started again for the Wolf Pack. With a mindset to learn new tactics and train harder for the upcoming season our soon to be Athletic Director Steve Wichman said, “We are stressing the sleep component and the nutritional aspect [of training].” Players are receiving nutritional packets to guide them to the types of food that will help them reach their goal. Some new tactics are being inaugurated into the program such as footwork and even six to ten inch hurdles. Junior Alex Crisp wants the training to help “the players to come together as one whole team and to play our best.”

According to junior Ethan Casados, training in the preseason helps the younger players “get stronger and used to playing with the bigger kids so they could play at the next level.” In addition to new training, players can also expect to see senior Casey White working alongside coaches as a volunteer assistant coach. “I want to help West get back into a winning mentality,” said White. The Wolf Pack eagerly awaits next year’s season.
