Andrew Escobar , Staff Reporter

Andrew Escobar is a senior in West High School’s Journalism class. He is a 5’10”, Hispanic, multi-instrumental senior, striving to be a successful psychologist. Escobar was born in San Jose and moved to Tracy in the 7th grade attending Monte Vista Middle School. His favorite class is Human Rights because of the creative assignments, but his favorite teacher is Mrs. Duff, who is like a mother to him. When asked about his biggest inspiration, Escobar said “my grandmother because she inspires me to work hard in both school and home.” When he’s not cranking into his books, he spends time singing and practicing his ukulele and piano. His favorite movie is “Slumdog Millionaire” because of how emotionally gripping it is. He plans on attending community college after high school and then a UC.
