Next week we begin this year’s state testing, and the stakes are high again. We just got the honor of being named a California Distinguished School, which is amazing in itself, now we need to keep up the high standards and make West High continue to shine with the good scores.

Administration is offering the juniors some prizes just for scoring a 3 or 4 on the test. If you get a 3 or 4 on the English test, you will automatically get a 5% retroactive grade boost. If you get a 3 or 4 on both English and math there is potential to remove up to 50 Saturday School hours! In addition to those, there will be drawings during the next year for extra graduation tickets, VIP grad tickets, discounted Prom and Grad Nite tickets and various other prizes. Definitely worth putting forth your best effort!

Freshmen and sophomores also do state testing during the testing schedule in their English to prepare for the junior test. This keeps all the Wolfpack sharp and in the testing mindset, and distinguished!

During testing time, we will be doing block schedule to give plenty of time to give your best testing opportunities. West High is the Best High, and by showing off how smart we are to the state, and everyone else we really emphasize how great we are.
