This year Coachella outfits from influencers, celebrities, and music lovers have become a popular topic. Coachella has become its own style pulling ideas from different decades, brands, and color schemes. Online, people have called this festival the “influencer Olympics” with the clothing being a huge part of it.
One of the big trends we saw in 2026 were colors that were more earth toned. Lots of tans, browns, creams, muted greens, black, and white. Of course, people express their own personalities through these outfits, so a generalization is a huge understatement.
The first influencers that really stood out to me were the Kalogeras sisters. These three sisters that make lifestyle videos on YouTube went to Coachella with the brand Revice. Sunday, Demitra, and Elianna are known for their really out there style so I knew their Coachella outfits were going to be good. They stuck to a similar color scheme as mentioned before. Lots of creams, whites, espresso browns, blacks, etc. Day one, they debuted with mainly pieces from Revice as expected as well as many thrifted pieces. Their style is very unique to them, but I feel because they went with a brand that had a lot of other influencers, their outfits were very similar, and their style was muted a bit.
Now one thing I noticed was bigger celebrities like Kylie and Kendall Jenner, and Hailey Bieber went very simply with their outfits. They wore more casual jeans and a top. Even though it was simple it was cute. Kendall on day one wore vintage Levi’s white shorts and a white tank top along with a Kate Spade shoulder bag and a pair of sunglasses. So simple and not over accessorizing. Many have said it was too basic for Coachella, and it was not giving. While on the second day when Justin Bieber performed, Kylie Jenner wore his merch, and it was again basic but cute.
Whilst talking to teacher K.C. Wichman who went to Coachella with his wife, he brought up that many people were dressed more for who they were going to see. “People had super unique fits and I saw styles that related to specific artists” he says “you could kind of tell who was specifically there for Sabrina Carpenter or for Swae Lee for example. As well, you can tell who was there for more niche performers, some rock/grunge style or some more colorful.” Wichman says his wife Ariel had their outfits planned out and while he was casual and simple hers was pretty.
Then the headlining performers had basic outfits. Justin Bieber wore just shorts and a tee. Swae Lee wore a white tank top and jeans, while his son wore a spiderman costume. Sabrina Carpenter had many outfit changes, and she stuck true to the colors she wears most including baby pink, white, cream, and baby blue. She is known for her style while on stage and I think she delivered what was expected but she definitely didn’t exceed expectations. Karol G, however, had a unique outfit with a tropical pineapple bra top and a matching brown mini skirt with a yellow hem to tie in the top. It was a fun outfit that was Coachella worthy.
All the fashion trends this year really showed through at this festival! I cant wait to see what next year has in store.
