Janessa Hallman, Staff Reporter
Janessa Hallman is a West high freshman born and raised in Tracy, California. She is the youngest child of three, Jazzy her seventeen-year-old sister and Jada the 21-year-old sister. Her favorite class here at West is Journalism because she has many friends to talk to and collaborate with. During Janessa's school year she wants to focus on graduating with her AS degree and going to either Stanford, Davis, or Berkeley for her engineering degree. Janessa currently is playing volleyball at West but is also looking forward to playing basketball in fall. Janessa describes her personality as : "Nice, tired, and academically determined." Outside of school Janessa likes to spend her alone time sleeping and "chilling" with her 2 dogs Nala and Roxy (Scooby) plus the family fish (Speedy). Janessa's favorite song right now is "Almost there" from the Princess and the Frog soundtrack and her favorite movie is Shrek 2. Her favorite restaurant is Mikasa, and she is deeply interested with bread and anything related to sushi.
