Alissa Luangrath, Copy Co-Editor
Senior Alissa Luangrath’s devotion for the track and field program is what she loves most about the school. She is an academically bright student taking AP Statistics, Journalism, AP English 4 and more. She is also part of the UNICEF club on campus, where they educate, advocate, and fundraise the work of UNICEF. Luangrath has a passion for running ever since her sophomore year on the track team, and later joined the cross country team her junior year. As a runner, you do not have an open schedule, but in her free time she lives exploring the practice of makeup and fashion. Recently, she decided to start a new lifestyle, veganism. To others it may seem challenging, but Luangrath sees it as an opportunity to grow and appreciate more. Even though she is an active person, she tends to always relax in her free time watching her beloved Netflix. Born in San Jose, Luangrath spent her first three years there and moved to Tracy later on. There are five people in her family: her mom, dad, little brother and older sister who graduated last year at West High. The people who inspire her most are her friends, because they surround her with joy and positivity. In five years Luangrath hopes to have graduated college, have a successful job and dogs. She joined journalism last year because she wanted to have her voice be heard, and loved the environment of the class. Last summer, she interned at the Tracy Press and hopes to bring those skills back to the Zephyr.
